The time has come for Mei-Lin to request the Italian passport after having acquired Italian citizenship. This is just a teaser, we have started the process by trying to request an appointment to the Asylum. Which is… trickier than expected. Apparently it’s not as simple as, pick the first available date, nope. Basically, every monday, the Asylum publishes a list of available dates for the week after. I’m not sure at which time of the day this happens, but what I know is that the available listed dates are already fully booked. I am of course expecting that hordes of expats are frantically refreshing their webpage every monday, fighting for the split millisecond that would allow them to book the yearned appointment, like trying to buy a ticket online for a Bruce Springsteen concert.
