Merry Halloween everybody! Rejoice the good news! I have finally received back the extra taxes paid for years 2021 and 2022 – but not for 2020 yet. I don’t know what’s going on with those, they assured me it’s WIP, let’s see…
Anyway, I’m super happy, the big win for me was the 2021 year. It’s a lot of money! That’s because in that year I got married and we had our child Penelope. Since I was on a B permit, the tax at source was initially calculated as a single, but when they did the re-assessment on year-end (because, remember, the situation at December 31st is the one which counts), BAM! Suddenly it was a single-income family with children. Sigh, we can now afford our next trip to Taiwan for Lunar New Year…
