We went with Serse to the Ritual and everything went smoothly. There was a huge line of people waiting, but luckily infants have a preferential lane, so we waited maybe 5 minutes, took the picture and went home. Surprisingly, we didn’t have to wait long: after less than a week we got Serse’s C residence permit!
So now is… all set? Can we close this blog?
Of course not, dear reader!
From Serse’s perspective yes, all is set for now. But we still need to add Penelope to the Swiss Family book. Mei-Lin’s family is currently going through the process of obtaining birth certificate, double-legalization etc in Taiwan. And then of course there is Mei-Lin’s application for Italian citizenship! That’s gonna be fun. For now, Mei-Lin is studying for her Italian language exam, which is gonna happen end of this week. After that we’ll start the… fun part.
BUT ANYWAY, for now we’re off for a long and deserved vacation. We’re going to Italy next week. Ciao!
